Doctor, nurse in 2 Negros Occidental hospitals test positive for COVID
BACOLOD CITY — A doctor and a nurse in two Negros Occidental provincial government hospitals have tested positive for COVID-19.
The doctor from the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City was symptomatic and was transferred from the Mambukal Resort to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City, said Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.
On the other hand, the nurse from the Valladolid District Hospital is at the Mambukal Resort for isolation and healing.
Diaz also reported that three employees assigned at the Capitol’s Promotion Information Section (PIS), Provincial Accounting Office, and Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center tested positive for COVID-19.
Diaz suggested putting the three offices under lockdown.
