2 Evel Knievel wannabe cops in Zambales identified
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—The two riders, who were caught on a viral video doing dangerous motorcycle stunts along the national highway of this province, have already been identified by the authorities.
In a statement on Thursday (Sept. 2), the Philippine National Police said the two belonged to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3).
They were identified as MSgt Israel Bondoc and MSgt Manuel Tolentino.
PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar had directed regional police chief Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon and the Highway Patrol Group to investigate the case to determine disciplinary measures to be imposed on the two.
The two policemen were seen in the video performing dangerous motorcycle stunts and were described by some as “irresponsible,” citing blatant violations of traffic rules and regulations on road safety.
Earlier, Col. Romano Cardiño, Zambales police provincial director, confirmed the two were not members of the police workforce in Zambales but belonged to the PNP regional office.
