CEBU CITY — The death toll in a fire in this city on Tuesday has risen to seven after two more charred bodies were pulled out from the ruins of the tragic blaze.
Senior Fire Officer 1 SFO1 Wendel Villanueva, the Cebu City Fire Office spokesperson, said they already found the two missing persons.
Their identities were still being verified, although the Cebu City Fire Office already announced two missing individuals: Lilian Carvajal, 72; and Ivan Mejia, 58.
Five other people died during the fire: Hannah Mae Carvajal, 34; Felicity Sachi Carvajal, 12; Lyka Carvajal, 16; Andre Carvajal, 6; and Dan Henry Carvajal, 3.
Villanueva said the fatalities were trapped inside their house.
The fire investigators were still investigating the cause of the blaze that destroyed 15 houses and commercial establishments.
Damage was pegged at P11.2 million.
