Ospital ng Sampaloc reaches full capacity

MANILA, Philippines — The Ospital ng Sampaloc in the City of Manila City has reached its full capacity and can no longer attend to additional COVID-19 patients.

“We regret to inform the public that, as of today, August 28, 2021, 10 am, our institution is operating on FULL CAPACITY and we can NO LONGER ACCOMMODATE COVID-19 PATIENTS needing hospital admission,” the hospital said in a public advisory.

Ospital ng Sampaloc advised the public to observe caution in activities, among others, to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

“We urge everyone to practice caution in our daily interactions, adhere to our minimum safety requirements, and be responsible individuals of the community. Get vaccinated. And take part in stopping this pandemic.”

As of Sunday, the Philippines has a total of 1,954,023 COVID-19 cases, of which, 143,221 are active. The country has also recorded a 27.9 percent positivity rate.
