PH to have cloudy, rainy weather due to easterlies, ITCZ — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country are expected to have cloudy and rainy skies due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Saturday.
Pagasa said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Mimaropa (Mindoro Occidental and Oriental, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan); Northern Mindanao; Zamboanga Peninsula; Bangsamoro region; SOCCSKSARGEN (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat) and Sarangani.
Aurora and Cagayan Valley will also experience cloudy and rainy weather, but due to the easterlies or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have generally fair weather, but there are still chances of isolated rain showers.
Meanwhile, no gale warning was raised in any of the waters nationwide as the rest of the country is expected to have a slight to moderate sea condition with 0.6 to 2.5 meters of waves, according to Pagasa.
