PDEA seizes P3.6M worth of drugs in Quezon City, Mandaluyong busts
MANILA, Philippines — More than P3.6 million of suspected shabu (crystal meth), ecstasy tablets, and other illegal drugs were seized in separate busts in Quezon City and Mandaluyong on Friday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported on Saturday.
In Quezon City, Diana Camille Basa, 28, was nabbed in a bust along NIA Road Barangay (village) Pinyahan on Friday afternoon.
PDEA agents seized from Basa 500 grams of shabu worth P3,400,000.
Meanwhile in Mandaluyong City, Corine Alegre, 41, and Carlos Jorge IV Reyes 38, were arrested in a bust in Barangay (village) Buayang bato on Friday night.
Confiscated from Alegre and Reyes were 119 pieces of suspected ecstasy tablets worth P202,300.
Article continues after this advertisementAlso seized from the suspects were 30 grams of suspected cocaine, 45 ml of suspected opioid, two pieces of cannabis oil, and other assorted drug paraphernalia.
The arrested suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
