Three drug suspects busted in Laguna
LUCENA CITY — Three suspected shabu (crystal meth) peddlers on the police drug watch list were arrested in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna province early Saturday, police said.
Sta. Rosa police in a report identified the suspects as Leonardo Antoque, Rogelio Garcia Jr., and Divina Garcia, all listed as identified “street-level” drug pushers in the locality.
The report said Rogelio and Divina, whose personal relationship was not stated, were collared in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Aplaya around 2:40 a.m.
Authorities seized five plastic sachets of meth worth P34,000 in the street market.
Earlier, police also busted Antoque in another sting operation in Barangay Caingin around 1:25 a.m.
The suspect yielded eight sachets of shabu. The report did not state the total volume and street value of the confiscated illegal drugs from Antoque.
The three suspects were put in jail and are facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
