MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Manila will be requiring quarantine passes when the National Capital Region returns to a hard lockdown starting Friday, August 6.

For this, it ordered officials of all barangays under its jurisdiction to issue quarantine passes – one for each family –  following the national government’s guidelines on authorized persons outside residence or APORs.

The local government unit also clarified that quarantine passes do not need the signature of a Manila Police District station commander.

It further noted that old quarantine passes would likewise be honored during this latest enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), which the national pandemic task force said will last until August 20.
