MANILA, Philippines — Former ABS-CBN executive Arlene Sinsuat de Castro, the wife of news anchor and former Vice President Noli de Castro, passed away on Saturday morning. She was 66.

Daughter Kat de Castro, general manager of state-owned People’s Television Network (PTV), announced her mother’s passing on Facebook.

“My mom passed away this morning. Thank you for your prayers … I feel so down. My head hurts and my tears never seem to stop,” De Castro wrote on social media. “I love you mommy very much.”

De Castro added that they were still finalizing plans for her mother’s burial. The PTV chief did not disclose details surrounding her mother’s death.

Born in Cotabato on April 18, 1955, the elder De Castro had a long career in broadcasting.

In 1981, she worked for Maharlika Broadcasting System as a production coordinator.

She joined media giant ABS-CBN in 1986 as an executive producer.

She became the vice president of the broadcast network’s current affairs department in the 1990s, ABS-CBN said in a report.

She is survived by her husband, Noli, and children Kat, Manueli, and Shameer.
