LUCENA CITY — Two alleged notorious drug pushers on the police watch list were arrested here early Wednesday, police said.
The arrested suspects were identified as Ohyda Azur, 41, and Ferdinand Vargas, 41, both residents of this city, Police Leuitenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives collared the two after they sold P500 worth of shabu (crystal meth) to a police agent in Barangay 5 around 6 a.m.
The suspects yielded five plastic sachets of meth worth P16,524 in the street market.
The arrest was the result of Oplan Sacleo or “Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation” which replaced the police “one-time, big-time operation,” an all-out war against all local forms of criminalities in a given period.
The suspects were detained and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
