MANILA, Philippines — Tropical storm Fabian continues to pull and enhance the habagat or southwest monsoon as it remains far from the Philippine landmass, bringing monsoon rains over parts of Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) and Western Visayas, state meteorologists said Sunday.

Apart from Fabian, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also located a low pressure area 630 kilometers west of Calayan, Cagayan outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) that is expected to continue moving away from the country.
