PH receives 1.5 million more of Sinovac vaccine doses
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines received on Saturday morning an additional 1.5 million doses of Sinovac Biotech’s COVID-19 vaccine, giving the country’s vaccine stock a fresh boost.
The latest China-made CoronaVac doses were procured by the national government.
Vaccines are again arriving in the country after some local government units stopped vaccination for the first dose due to shortage in supply of the anti-coronavirus shots. On Friday, Some 1.6 million Janssen and 1.15 million AstraZeneca vaccine doses also arrived in the country.
The Philippines has so far administered over 14 million vaccine doses, including 10 million provided as the first dose. Meanwhile, four million individuals have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
