Over 4 million individuals in PH fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — The number of fully vaccinated individuals against COVID-19 in the Philippines has surpassed the four million mark, Malacañang announced Thursday.

In an online Palace briefing, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said that of the 10,026,722 who have received heir first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine,  a total of 4,047,792 have received their second dose as of July 14, 2021.

“Meron na tayong labing apat na milyon o 14,074,514 total doses na na-administer (We have administered 14,074,514 vaccine doses.),” Roque said.

On July 14 alone, Roque said 257,156 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered nationwide.

Since February, the National Task Force against COVID-19 said 20.7 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been delivered.

Of this figure, 10.6 million were procured by the government, 900,000 were purchased by the private sector and local government units, 2.1 million doses were donated by other countries, and seven million came from the COVAX facility.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said the government expects to fully vaccinate seven million people by the end of July.
