LUCENA CITY—A 65-year-old religious missionary from South Korea on Sunday lost P100,000 cash and other personal belongings from a “basag-kotse” (car break-in) gang in Los Baños town in Laguna province.

A report Monday from Los Baños police said Sang Gu Choi, currently living in Antipolo City, was on his way to a religious service in Calamba City around 11 a.m., when he decided to buy “buko” (young coconut) pie and parked his car at the roadside in Barangay Anos.

When he returned to his vehicle, he found the left front passenger window glass shattered.
