8-month-old boy among 50 new COVID-19 cases in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—At least 50 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in this province over the weekend.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the youngest of the new patients is an 8-month-old boy, while the oldest is a 79-year-old woman.

Some of the new cases had travel history outside the province. Six patients in this town traveled to Taguig City and Pangasinan province before testing positive for the disease.

Other new cases were those with ailments or those exposed to COVID-19 patients.

The latest data showed that 23 of the patients had recovered on Sunday, bringing the total recoveries in the province to 3,235 while the death toll remained at 85.

The province has logged 3,689 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year.
