Black box of crashed C-130 aircraft sent to US

MANILA, Philippines — The black box of the military’s C-130 cargo aircraft that crashed in Sulu has been sent to the United States for analysis, the Philippine Air Force said on Saturday.

The analysis of the black box or flight data recorder, which would take about a month, is expected to provide insights into what caused the July 4 crash that killed 52 people, including three residents on the ground.

Investigators are looking into all possible angles of the crash.
