Another kid dies of dengue fever in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – Another young patient has died of dengue fever in this province amid the rising number of cases of the mosquito-borne disease, an official said on Friday (July 9).

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the fatality was an 11-year old girl diagnosed with dengue hemorrhagic and lupus.

Bueno said three other patients succumbed to dengue fever disease this week. The First two fatalities were patients aged 9 and 35 years old.

At least 615 dengue cases had been reported in the province since January.

With these rising cases, some municipalities in the province have conducted a mass-clean-up drive to combat dengue.
