Infection slows down in Olongapo City; only 3 new COVID-19 cases logged
OLONGAPO CITY—Only three new cases of COVID-19 were logged here on Friday, June 25, as the city saw more recoveries on the same day, an official said. Citing local health data, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the new cases are aged 24, 27 and 52. These raised to 2,478 the total infections registered in the city since last year. But Paulino said at least 20 more patients had been cleared of the viral disease, bringing down to 206 the number of active cases. So far, over 2,130 patients in the city had been healed from COVID-19. A patient had also died of COVID-19 on Friday, pushing to 136 the city’s death toll.
