MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Three more residents here died due to COVID-19, bringing the death toll since the start of the pandemic last year to 84, the city government’s June 23 bulletin disclosed.
The latest viral disease fatalities include a resident of Barangay San Francisco, another from Barangay Sto. Rosario, and one from Tabun village.
The city government also reported on Wednesday four new COVID-19 cases and 89 recoveries.
As of June 23, this city registered a total of 3,436 total cases, of which 206 remain active. It said 3,146 patients have recovered from the disease.
Barangay Mabiga has the most active cases at 52, followed by the biggest village of Dau at 39, and San Francisco with 19 active cases.
Meanwhile, the capital city of San Fernando registered 22 new COVID-19 cases, 13 recoveries, and zero deaths on Wednesday. It has a total of 5,369 cases, 4,699 recoveries, and 175 deaths. The city has 495 active cases. INQ
