COVID-19 death toll in Olongapo City climbs to 120

OLONGAPO CITY–A 63-year-old man was the latest to die of COVID-19 in this city as its death toll rose to 120 as of Wednesday (June 16), an official said.

Citing local health data, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said 29 new COVID-19 cases were also added to the city’s tally on the same day.

These new cases are aged 9-84 and many of them contracted the virus at home after getting infected by relatives.

To date, the city has 286 active COVID-19 cases out of the 2, 340 infections recorded since last year.

At least 1,934 of these patients had already recovered from the disease.
