3 more patients succumb to COVID-19 in Aurora

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Three more patients die of COVID-19 in Aurora, bringing the death toll to 59, the provincial emergency operations center reported Wednesday, June 16.

The latest COVID-19 fatalities include two residents of San Luis town and another from Dingalan.

Aurora recorded one new COVID-19 case and 22 recoveries on Wednesday.

Of the 289 active cases in the province, 27 are admitted to hospitals, while 262 are in quarantine facilities.

Data from the Department of Health COVID-19 Tracker showed that Aurora has only two available intensive care unit beds and 11 ward beds. The 15 isolation beds in its two medical facilities in Baler are occupied.

The province has only one mechanical ventilator, the DOH disclosed.

Maria Aurora town has 71 active cases, followed by the capital town of Baler at 68, and Dinalungan with 67.
