MANILA, Philippines — Some 200,000 registrants have already received their Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) a month after the delivery kickoff, an official from the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Monday.
PSA Assistant Secretary and Deputy National Statistician Rosalinda Bautista said the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) reported 200,000 registrants received their ID while there are another 200,000 IDs that are yet to be delivered.
“Sa amin pong issuance ng ID ay umabot na po kami ng 200,000 ang report ng ating Philpost na na-deliver nila,” she said over Teleradyo. “At the same time meron pang 200,000 na for delivery pa po nila.”

The registration for PhilSys started in October 2020 and the delivery of National ID has begun since May.
Bautista also said they have also collected the demographic information of more than 35 million, of whom 12 million have already had their biometrics captured.
“Yung Step 1, ‘yung nakolektahan ng demographic information ay mahigit 35 million na, ang na-capture na yung biometric information ay more than 12 million na po,” she said.
(For the first step, we have collected the demographic information of more than 35 million people, while we captured the biometric information of more than 12 million people.)
The PSA aims to register 70 million individuals in the PhilSys by the end of the year.
