Davao del Sur gov not dead, family says
DIGOS CITY — The family of Davao del Sur Governor Douglas Cagas has denied information circulating in social media that the provincial chief executive died on Thursday.
Dr. Frimm Sally Cagas-Baña, a niece of the governor, posted on social media that he is currently confined in a hospital in Digos City.
Baña said the governor’s vital signs are now normal.
“Now it is clear that the governor is gaining back his normal senses,” said Digos City Mayor Josef Cagas, a nephew of the governor.
Mayor Cagas said that due to the false information in social media, many officials of government agencies have called him up.
