PNP logs 138 new cases of COVID-19; total infections now at 24,113

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday recorded 138 new COVID-19 cases within its ranks, bringing the total number of infections to 24,113.
The PNP also has 1,744 active cases and 22,303 recoveries (204 new recoveries), as of June 1, according to its daily COVID-19 tally released on its Facebook page.
Death toll stays at 66, as no new deaths have been reported by the PNP health service.

Health officials said that as of May 31, total infections nationwide is currently at 1,230,301. This includes 54,290 active cases, 1,155,045 recoveries and 20,966 deaths.
