P100M worth of smuggled frozen products seized

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities on Thursday seized P100 million worth of frozen products smuggled by unscrupulous traders during a raid conducted in Navotas City.

The operation resulted in the seizure of 12 refrigerated container vans filled with assorted frozen pork, beef, jumbo shrimp, eel, black chicken, crawfish, Peking duck, and Dory fish fillet.

The Department of Agriculture said the smuggled items came from Vietnam, China, Germany, and Belgium.
