Antipolo lawmaker Acop dies; 73

MANILA, Philippines — House health committee vice chair and Antipolo City Rep. Resurrecion Acop died on Friday at the age of 73.

Her husband, former Rep. Romeo Acop, said he and his wife contracted the coronavirus in early April. He recovered but his wife suffered complications such as bacterial pneumonia and multiple organ failure.

She later tested negative for the virus but succumbed to complications on Friday morning at Cardinal Santos Medical Center.
