32 more PNP personnel in Central Luzon test positive for COVID-19

OLONGAPO CITY –– At least 32 more personnel of the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon have contracted COVID-19, local health data on Thursday showed.

The new infections raised to 1,322 the total number of PNP personnel who got infected with the virus since last year, according to the health service office of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3).

Among the latest COVID-19 cases were policemen in this city and  Zambales province.

The PRO3 said six PNP personnel had also recovered from the disease on the same day, bringing its number of recoveries to 1,172.

The PRO3 also logged five COVID-19-related deaths since the start of the pandemic last year.
