3 drug suspects nabbed, P40K ‘shabu’ seized in Pampanga

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga –– Police arrested Wednesday three suspected drug traders in this city and Apalit town.

A buy-bust operation in Barangay Dau here by Mabalacat and Angeles City police resulted in the arrests of Abidin Macalaba, 33, and Yusop Mauday, 32, both residents of Barangay Balibago in nearby Angeles City.

The Police Regional Office 3 said they confiscated 11 sachets containing suspected shabu (crystal meth) weighing four grams worth P27,200 in the street market.

The marked P500-bill used by the undercover policeman during the operation was also recovered from the suspects.

In Barangay San Vicente, Apalit, police arrested Cliford Santos, 30, who yielded two grams of suspected shabu worth P13,600.

The police said they also confiscated from the suspect a magnum caliber .22 revolver loaded with five bullets.

The three suspects face charges for possession and sale of dangerous drugs.

Santos is facing a separate case for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
