Drug suspect slain in Cavite bust

LUCENA CITY –– An alleged drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation that ended in an armed confrontation in the town of Naic, Cavite province, Wednesday.

The Calabarzon regional police reported that Julius Sison was killed after he allegedly resisted arrest and fired at the police in a drug sting in Barangay Palangue Central at 10:20 p.m.

Police said the suspect and an unidentified cohort sensed they were transacting with a police officer that prompted Sison to pull out his handgun and fire at the cop but missed his target.

The policemen returned fire and killed Sison, but his cohort managed to escape.
