PNP logs 233 new COVID-19 cases

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has reported 233 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of infections to 23,376.

According to PNP’s daily bulletin, the number of active cases stands at 1,725 as of May 27.

The PNP Health Service also recorded 70 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 21,587.

The death toll, on the other hand, remains at 64.

The Department of Health, meanwhile said the country’s total number of infections as of May 26 is at 1,193,976 cases, with 46,037 active cases, and 20,169 deaths.
