PNP logs 139 new COVID-19 cases

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said that 139 more officers contracted COVID-19, bringing total infections to 23,146.

According to PNP’s daily bulletin, there are now 1,562 active cases as of May 26.

The PNP health service also recorded 127 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 21,520.

Health officials earlier reported that the country’s total number of infections as of May 25 is at 1,188,672 cases, with 48,201 active cases, and 20,019 deaths.
