LPA seen to bring rains to Visayas, Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines—A low pressure area has been spotted east of Mindanao, and is expected to bring rains to Visayas and Mindanao, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

Pagasa said that as of 2 p.m. Friday, the low pressure area was 730 kilometers east of Mindanao.

The tail end of a cold front is also affecting eastern Visayas and northeastern Mindanao, the state-run weather bureau added.

Pagasa said the eastern section of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms.

The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains.
