18 more PNP personnel in C. Luzon infected with COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales–At least 18 more personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Central Luzon had contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as of Thursday, May 20.

The number raised to 119 the active COVID-19 cases among police personnel in the region, data from the health service of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) showed.

To date, its total number of infections since last year has reached 1,239, including policemen in this province who contracted the virus while on duty.

Over 1,100 PRO3 personnel had also recovered from the disease but five had died, including a policeman from Tarlac province who was the latest to succumb to COVID-19.

The policeman belonged to the La Paz Municipal Police.
