Ex-drug convict, associate yield P650K shabu in Lucena bust
LUCENA CITY – A former drug convict and his associate yielded over P650,00 worth of shabu (crystal meth) when arrested here Saturday morning, police said.
Suspects Philenjun Vadal, 37, and Ajan Demillo, 26, were arrested after they sold a pack of shabu to an undercover police agent in Barangay (village) Ibabang Dupay around 8:30 a.m., Police Leuitenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report.
Authorities confiscated 32 grams of shabu in 11 plastic sachets from the suspects.
The seized meth has an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P217,600 and worth P652,800 in the street market.
Police said Vadal was previously arrested on drug charges while Demilio is a newbie in the illegal drug trade.
Report said concerned citizens and reformed drug users in the village tipped off the police on the illegal activity of the suspects.
The suspects were detained and facing criminal charges.
