6 suspects fall in Lucena, Antipolo drugs busts
LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested six suspects and seized over P400,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) in separate drug busts in the cities of Lucena and Antipolo on Thursday and Friday.
In Lucena, an alleged member of a drug group was caught early on Friday, May 7, while three other suspected drug pushers were arrested on Thursday, May 6, police said.
Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said anti-narcotics agents collared Mark Elgene Abella, 23, in a sting operation in the coastal village of Dalahican at 2 a.m. Friday.
Authorities seized two sachets of shabu valued at P90,370 in the street market.
Police tagged Abella as a member of a local group of big-time shabu peddlers. He was allegedly one of the suppliers of shabu to dockworkers and fishers in Dalahican.
On Thursday, the police nabbed Terence Fortaleza, Warren Llorin, and Joel Manalo in separate operations in the city.

In Antipolo City, two suspected drug pushers were arrested with over P250,000 worth of shabu on Thursday.
The Calabarzon police reported that operatives collared Oscar Gabriel after he sold meth to an agent acting as a drug user in Barangay Cupang at 8:50 p.m.
Authorities confiscated from him nine sachets of shabu weighing 36.5 grams with a street value of P248,880 and a digital weighing scale.
Later, a police team also busted Chester Dibdib in Barangay De La Paz at 10:50 p.m.
The suspect yielded six sachets of shabu worth P10,200 in the street market.
All the suspects are facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
