Funeral parlor exec dies in hospital after gun attack in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY—A 27-year-old funeral parlor manager in Manaoag town, Pangasinan province died in a hospital after he was shot repeatedly by a still unidentified assailant on Sunday (April 18), according to police.

A previous report said he survived the attack but was seriously wounded.

Investigators identified the target of the attack as Jhamere Ezra Bonifacio, manager of Señora De Manaoag Funeral Services and a resident of Barangay Calaocan.

He was shot at the Simbahang Bato compound in Bonuan Gueset in this city while he was supervising his employees.

The victim suffered four bullet wounds and was declared dead on arrival at the Region I Medical Center.

Police said the suspect, who was on board a motorcycle, immediately fled the crime scene.

No motive has been established yet by the police.
