PH logs 10,098 additional COVID-19 cases, 150 new deaths
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines on Sunday logged 10,098 additional COVID-19 infections, pushing the country’s tally to 936,133 cases.
In its COVID-19 bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) said 72,607 more patients recovered from the disease. The country currently has 141,089 active cases.
Of the active infections, 98.4 percent are considered mild and asymptomatic, according to the department.
The DOH also reported 150 new fatalities among Filipinos, bringing the country’s death toll to 15,960.
The DOH also noted that 17 duplicates were removed from the total case count, seven of which are recoveries.
Meanwhile, 48 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths “after final validation,” the DOH said.
