Olongapo City gets 12 new COVID-19 cases

OLONGAPO CITY—The city saw 12 more people infected with SARS Cov2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, which raised the tally of cases to 1,254 since the pandemic broke out in 2020.

In an advisory on Tuesday (April 13), Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the new COVID-19 patients, aged 22 to 64, were from six of the city’s 17 villages.

Local health data showed that all of the patients showed mild COVID-19 symptoms, like cough, fever and cold.

Some of had been exposed to infected members of their households.

The city also registered six new recoveries that day, raising to 1,085 the total number of COVID-19 patients who were healed.

A total of 54 COVID-19 deaths were also logged in the city.
