Gimmy Panis Conos, a vendor from Quezon City who gives away free taho in a hope to increase his subscribers on his YouTube channel, received more than what he asked for from Filipinos online.

Conos was handing out free taho in Quezon City when he caught the attention of a netizen, a certain Helios (@lionizcute), who posted his photos on Twitter last Friday, April 9.

“So naawa ako [kanya] binayaran ko na lang ‘yung taho plus I gave him a small amount and posted this to spread his channel,” the netizen said.

Another netizen named Mary Amoguis, who lives in Mindanao, saw Helios’ twitter post and asked permission to repost the photos of “Tatay Gimmy” in a bid to help the aspiring vlogger.

Her post the following day went viral on Twitter, gaining more than 80,000 reactions and 40,000 retweets as of writing, and paved the way for more netizens to pay attention to the taho vendor.

Not only did the netizens join forces to increase Tatay Gimmy’s subscribers, they also sent financial assistance worth more than P40,000 as of today, April 14.

As of writing, Gimmy Panis Conos now has over 270,000 YouTube subscribers. More and more people are exploring vlogging either as a career path or as a supplementary source of income. JB
