SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– The training station here of the Philippine Navy was again placed on lockdown after three of its personnel tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday, April 8, officials said.
Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the infected personnel of the Naval Education and Training Doctrine Command Center (NETDC) had no travel history outside the province.
Bueno said the patients could have contracted the virus from a visitor from Cavite.
Last January, the NETDC was also placed on temporary lockdown following an outbreak that hit its students.
In Subic town, a member of the Philippine Coast Guard had also tested positive for the virus.
As of Thursday, a total of 1,345 COVID-19 cases were reported in the province; 166 are still active, 1,149 had recovered, and 29 had died. INQ
