PH records 9,475 new COVID-19 cases; 22,000 recoveries
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines on Sunday recorded 9,475 new COVID-19 infections with 22,000 recoveries, the Department of Health (DOH) said.
Some 105,568 of the 721,892 total cases remain active, data from the DOH showed.
Meanwhile, 11 more patients have died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 13,170.
The DOH said 25 duplicates were removed from the total case count of which three are recoveries.
There were also four cases previously tagged as recoveries which were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
Seven laboratories were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System on March 27, 2021, the DOH also said.
