Batangas logs 430 new COVID-19 cases, 7 deaths in 2 days

LUCENA CITY – The province of Batangas recorded 430 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases and seven deaths in the past two days, authorities said Saturday.

Provincial Health Office (PHO) data on March 25 and 26 showed that Lipa City had the most number of new COVID-19 cases with 136.

The COVID-19 death toll in the province jumped to 453 after the PHO reported the deaths of seven patients.

PHO reports showed that Tanauan City and the town of San Luis logged a fatality each on March 25.

The next day, four more validated virus carriers in Lipa City and another in Mabini town also died.

Batangas has so far recorded 14,753 COVID-19 cases and 12,867 recoveries since the pandemic was declared last year.
