Cadiz city hall closed after 4 employees, 2 cops found positive for COVID-19

BACOLOD CITY –– The city hall of Cadiz City was closed “until further notice” after four employees and two policemen tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Mayor Salvador Escalante said there was a need to disinfect all the City Hall offices to avoid the virus from spreading.

The mayor said a department head was infected with the virus on Sunday.

A swab test conducted on employees, who had close contact with the department head, showed that three employees and two policemen also acquired the virus.

Escalante said the City Hall, where about 300 employees work, could be reopened on Monday but would depend on whether more persons would test positive for COVID-19.
