SC to tackle UP profs’ plea to protect lawyers

/ 05:10 AM March 20, 2021

The Supreme Court will bring up on Tuesday the University of the Philippines College of Law professors’ appeal to look into a local police station’s request for a list of lawyers representing alleged members of communist groups, Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta said.

“I cannot speak for other members of the court but what I can do is place in the agenda and let that petition be raffled and let us see what would be the recommendation of the member in charge because that’s what we do,” the chief magistrate told reporters on Friday. —Nikka G. Valenzuela
