PTV goes off the air on Wednesday for disinfection of facilities
MANILA, Philippines — The state-run People’s Television Network (PTV) will go off the air on Wednesday and will suspend the airing of its flagship programs up to Sunday to make way for the disinfection of its head office and its facilities amid rising COVID-19 cases.
As of Monday, PTV had 23 active cases, 64 recovered patients, and two deaths. In an advisory, PTV said it would resume broadcast on March 18 for all nonstation produced programs.
PTV’s flagship programs, the “Laging Handa” briefing and the “Ulat sa Bayan,” will resume broadcast on March 22.
Lottery draws will be aired via livestreaming on PTV’s Facebook page, Twitter account @PTVph, and YouTube channel PTVPhilippines, it said.
