Woman’s decomposing body found in Cagayan forest

TUGUEGARAO CITY — The decomposing body of a woman was discovered on Friday in a forested area in Barangay Casagan in Sta. Ana, Cagayan.

Police Lt. Col. Andree Abella, Cagayan Valley police spokesperson, said the still unidentified woman was clad in a pair of jeans and a pink shirt with the phrase, “We Make Change Work for Women.” 

Her body was retrieved by the Sta Ana Police and has been taken to the rural health unit for autopsy, according to Police Major Ronald Balod, Sta. Ana police chief.

Police advised residents with missing relatives to contact the Sta. Ana police station.
