QC woman nabbed for fake news

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested earlier this month a woman who allegedly posted on her Facebook account false information that the city government was distributing P3,000 to its residents.

Ma. Cecilia Raymundo was arrested on Feb. 3, on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 97 Judge Rochelle Manuel, according to a statement by the QCPD.

It added that Raymundo was arrested for violation of Article 154 of the Revised Penal Code. —NIKKA G. VALENZUELA
