“Itong LPA naman po ay mababa yung tsansa na mag-develop into a tropical depression (This LPA has no chances of developing into a tropical depression.),” Bulquerin added.

The trough of the LPA, meanwhile, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the remaining parts of Visayas, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon),  Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque, Romblon, and Aurora.

Bulquerin added that aside from the LPA, the northeast monsoon or amihan is currently affecting weather conditions in the country, particularly in Northern Luzon.

Because of the amihan, cloudy skies with rains are expected over the Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region.

The amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, Bulquerin said.

As for Metro Manila and the rest of the country, these areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms, the weather specialist said.
