3.9-kilo dried marijuana seized in Tabuk City
TUGUEGARAO CITY – Police seized 3.9 kilos of dried marijuana from a Bulacan resident at a Tabuk City checkpoint on Friday.
Informed that the contraband was being smuggled to the city from Buscalan village in Tinglayan, Kalinga, the Barangay (village) Bantay checkpoint stopped a red sedan at around 6 p.m. and found nine tubular packages filled with marijuana, said Police Lt. Col. Radino Belly, Tabuk police chief.
The driver’s name has been withheld but his travel documents indicate he is from Marilao town in Bulacan.
A plastic bucket was also recovered from the vehicle, which the Marilao suspect claimed contains a fetus. The police have not yet confirmed if this allegation was true. VILLAMOR VISAYA JR.
