Motorcycle armed men slay village exec, peacekeeper in Ecija town
JAEN, NUEVA ECIJA – A village councilman and a community peacekeeper were killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen along Barangay (village) Lambakin here at 8:40 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 5).
Barangay Santo Tomas Norte councilman Florencio Cajucom and Bantay Bayan member Armando Pring were riding a motorcycle when their assailants drove up and shot them multiple times. The two men died on the spot.
Cajucom was engaged in the resale of carabaos, which is one of the angles being investigated by the police, said Police Maj. Baltazar Corpuz, Jaen police chief. ARMAND GALANG
